Rayyan is born through a surrogate mother’s sacrifice, linking two families through an unseen bond. As years pass by, the quiet connection endures beyond distance and time.
The day the baby was born, they severed the cord within seconds. The doctor smiled, the intended parents cried with joy, and the nurse gently carried the baby away. Everything had gone exactly as planned. Only Meher lay silently on the hospital bed, staring at the ceiling.
For nine months the child had lived under her heartbeat. The baby had turned when she turned, slept when she slept, and kicked softly when she whispered prayers at night.
She had told herself repeatedly:
“This child is not mine I am only a bridge.”
She went home two days later with empty hands.
Yet every night, before sleeping, she touched her stomach where the small life had once grown. The umbilical cord had been severed, but the invisible cord? Till date, no doctor knows how to separate that. Rayyan-The Invisible Cord is a tribute to the silent strength of mothers whose love sometimes means letting go. May it remind us that the deepest bonds are not always visible, yet they live forever within the heart.
