‘Rhyme Time Book 1’ is a classic collection of rhymes for early English learning.
This carefully selected collection of rhymes has been compiled to encourage joy, confidence, and enthusiasm among children as they begin learning the English language. The book brings together a number of traditional rhymes, many from the well-loved Mother Goose collection, along with a few original compositions cherished over the years.
Among the included works are “Mangoes, Mangoes All Around” and “Red, Red, Go to Bed,” both developed during English classes at Holy Cross Girls' High School with the active participation of students. These rhymes reflect a warm and engaging approach to language learning that encourages creativity and expression.
To enhance children’s enjoyment and understanding, each rhyme may be accompanied by simple actions and movements that bring the verses vividly to life. Parents, teachers, and caregivers are encouraged to participate in this interactive learning experience by guiding children in expressive recitation and performance.
