Rabindranath Tagore has written many poems and songs keeping the moments of sorrow,distress,mourning and despair in mind to alleviate these experiences of men and women everywhere and in all ages. At this critical juncture of humanity when suffering and despair are overwhelming,reading these may give solace and engender courage to readers and inspire them. This anthology,with English translation,is one humble addition to numerous such anthologies that have appeared in the past and is presented with humility.
