“Behind every name lies a legacy. Behind every photo, a heartbreak. Behind every uniform, a promise silenced too soon.”
In 2009, Bangladesh witnessed one of the darkest chapters in its national history—the brutal massacre at Pilkhana during the BDR mutiny. It was a tragedy that shook the armed forces to their core and left an indelible scar on the nation’s collective memory.
Originally documented in the special issues of Bangladesh Defence Journal (March & April 2009, February 2014), this landmark volume returns to that unfinished story—not merely as journalists, but as historians, citizens, and guardians of truth. This first-of-its-kind archival tribute brings together:Career profiles of the fallen officers

Original analysis and commentary from defence scholars and senior military officialsPublished at a moment when, after 16 years of authoritarian suppression, the truth is beginning to surface, this collector’s edition stands as both a memorial and a testament to justice.
This is more than a book—it is a memorial in pages, a historical document for those who refuse to forget. For readers who believe in honor, justice, and the sanctity of sacrifice.
